Ken
Larson is President of Kenter Consulting, an
international executive coaching and organization development
consultancy. As an executive coach, he assists executives,
general managers, and sales leaders in guiding their
organizations to higher levels of excellence. Ken frequently
works with his clients in perfecting their leadership vision,
strategy, execution, communications, influencing, relationship,
and leadership styles. As an organization development expert,
Ken helps leaders maximize the performance of their leadership
teams offering a wide variety of visioning and team-building
facilitation services and interventions.
He brings to his assignments a broad set of successful domestic,
international, and multi-cultural experiences as an executive,
counselor, and consultant. His clients have included boards of
directors, chief executive officers, presidents, chief operating
officers, chief information officers, sales leaders and other
key management personnel from organizations such as Mattel, Dole
Food, the Aerospace Corporation, IBM, American Express, Guitar
Center, and Avery Dennison. Ken also serves clients in the
publicly and privately owned mid markets arena including the
Cheesecake Factory, Newegg, UTiW, QAD, and Roll International.
His not for profit clients include the American Red Cross, Girl
Scouts of America, and the YMCA.
Ken has direct experience with entrepreneurial, private, and mid
market public companies. He was the Chief Administrative Officer
of the Candle Corporation, a privately held software company,
responsible for global manufacturing, distribution, information
technology, facilities, quality, and human resources. In this
capacity, he gained hands on experience and valued insights into
establishing and managing international operations throughout
Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Prior to his consulting career, he spent 25 years as senior
executive responsible for human resources and administration in
Fortune 500 companies. He created and led Xerox Corporation’s
executive development and coaching programs and was responsible
for organization development, succession planning, leadership
development. At Deloitte, he initiated leadership development
and mentoring programs for partner candidates. As Senior Vice
President of Human Resources for First Interstate Bank of
California (now Wells Fargo), he created the banks first
succession planning program, executive coaching, team building
and mentoring initiatives.
Ken is a graduate of Georgetown University and earned his MBA
from the University of Rochester.
Active in the business and public community, Ken was on the
Board of Directors of the Monroe County YMCA, the Orange County
YMCA, the Rochester Council of the Girl Scouts of America, and
the Monroe County United Fund. He is active as a volunteer with
the Los Angeles Red Cross and Brentwood Presbyterian Church. He
is the President of the Professional Coach and Mentor
Association (PCMA) in Los Angeles.
