Dr.
Joseph Fabricatore, Ph.D. CMC is a licensed
psychologist and certified management consultant specializing in
executive assessment and coaching. He began his consulting
career as an industrial/organizational psychologist with A.T.
Kearney: Management Consultants and was an executive coach and
Chair for The Executive Committee (TEC), working with CEOs and
senior executives in midsized companies and non profits. He has
been a consultant for Right Management Consultants, and Janotta
Bray, both international career consulting firms specializing in
senior executive coaching and outplacement.
Quoted in TIME and featured in The Wall Street Journal, he has
published over a dozen articles in both trade and professional
journals. His many years of experience have included client
assignments in a wide range of industries, corporations and
organizations, pubic and private sectors. Using one-on-one,
in-depth interviewing, competency simulations, and objective
psychological metrics, he has conducted thousands of individual
assessments.
Joe has also worked with a number of national, state and local
government agencies including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Department, the California Highway Patrol, the FBI Academy, the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Academy, Sandia Weapons
Laboratories, and NATO’s Advanced Study Institute.
Internationally, Joe has had assignments as a selection officer
with the Peace Corps (Brazil), and as a group leader with The
Experiment in International Living (Scandinavia and North
Africa). Headquartered in Brussels, he conducted an
organizational alignment analysis for a major international
energy producer in Western Europe, and in Kuwait created an
executive development program for an expanding Middle Eastern
financial institution. Joe’s cross-cultural assessment expertise
has included individual and family suitability evaluations for
corporate relocation overseas at AT&T and The El Paso
Company.
Active in professional organizations, he has served on the board
of directors for the Institute of Management Consultants, the
Los Angeles County Psychological Association, and has been
Chair, Division of Industrial/Organizational Psychology for the
California Psychological Association. His pro bono clients
include the Los Angeles County Museum, Robinson Gardens, and the
American Cinematheque.
Joe holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of
California, Los Angeles, and an A.B. (cum laude) from Seton Hall
University. He has been as Assistant Professor of Psychology at
Occidental College and Miami University, and an Associate
Professor (Adjunct) at UCLA.
